About Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This natural amphitheater, 19 km across, contains an extraordinary concentration of wildlife including the endangered black rhino. The crater floor is a self-contained ecosystem supporting approximately 25,000 large animals.
